ColSim - Rotating Disk Contactor Simulation
ColSim is an advanced program for the simulation of industrial
rotating disc contactors (RDCs), ColSim embodies the insights
gained over years of research and experience into column
performance. In particular, it uses physically realistic and
validated models for drop break-up and mass transfer in the
extractor using parameters, all of which can be measured by
straightforward techniques. The program provides plots of hold-up,
drop size and solute concentration profiles, and is able to
describe rotating disc contactors of up to 110 compartments.
