Aspen KPI Builder delivers performance management capabilities to personnel involved with continuous and batch production execution. Real-time data from Aspen InfoPlus.21® is merged with process models and key operational and financial performance goals to track performance. This allows everyone to see the cost impact of their decisions, improve operational decisions, and drive towards operational excellence. Aspen KPI Builder is a core element of AspenTech’s aspenONE® Production Management and Execution applications.
Aspen KPI Builder is included with Aspen InfoPlus.21.

- Tracks and communicates operational key performance indicators (KPIs) such as feed rates, yields, reactor efficiencies, utility usage, and material losses for continuous and batch processes
- Calculates a performance score and the real-time cost of deviation from target, providing immediate and persistent feedback on the financial impact of superior or poor performance
- Delivers out-of-the box calculation, trending, and target display capability for real-time operational KPIs
- Enables real-time data from Aspen InfoPlus.21 to be used with algebraic, inferential, or first principles process models
- Facilitates quick set-up of operational KPIs with built-in KPI Creation Wizard
- Integrates with Aspen InfoPlus.21 and legacy historians such as Honeywell PHD, OSIsoft PI, and any OPC data source for access to plant data in real time
- Links KPI values, targets, limits, and cost information to other Aspen InfoPlus.21 tags, Aspen Calc™ calculations, Aspen Production Record Manager characteristics, or other operational KPIs
- Accelerates root-cause analysis with immediate drill-back to calculations and other source data
- Tracks performance of any plant variable against up to three sets of high and low, user-specified limits; the user-specified limits may be a function of dynamic process conditions such as product change
